GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Person responsible for all slab cutting activities, manual and Level 2 slab optimization, and slab identification.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.Operate OS-5, 6A, 6B, 8, 11, and 12.

2.Oversee all slab cutting operations.

3.Ensure slab weights are correct.

4.Ensure slab tagging machine is functioning properly and maintain slab tagging machine.

5.Slab Optimization.

6.Ability to operate overhead crane.

7.General Housekeeping.

8.Maintenance as required.

9.Maintenance during outages.

10.Responsible for all pertinent paper work.

11.Work as a team.

12.Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Continuous Casting Supervisor.

13.Keep crop buckets emptied and all crops proper marked with the proper steel NAS steel type.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

2. Must work well with others.

3. Good communication skills

4. Time Management Skills

5. Basic Computer Skills.
